ANCHORAGE - It has been nearly a month since Samantha Koenig went missing, and Saturday friends and family held a fundraiser to help continue her search.

Hundreds of people showed up to Top Hat Studio in East Anchorage to help raise money for the Samantha Koenig reward fund.

There were several performances by dance groups, and members of the local rock band Static Cycle also showed up.

Organizers say today’s event was an effort to help keep Samantha in the spotlight.

“Just trying to get the word out, get Sam’s face back in the news, get her back up on number one, and get her home,” said family friend Michelle Tasker.

If you have any information on Samantha Koenig’s disappearance, you’re asked to contact APD at 786-8900.

It's important to keep the publicity going about Sam. Hopefully, she will be found safe and returned to her family. I agree with Alaska Lady - the funds should go to Victims for Justice. This way the community’s support can be shared with other victims although I am sure Mr. Koenig would donate the funds to them if they are not needed for Sam’s safe return. God Bless Sam and her family,

I think it is important to keep the spotlight on Koenig. I would suggest that funds raised be sent to Victims for Justice. This way the money can be used for other victims if something happened to Sam.
