Community comes together to help infant with rare form of cancer

ANCHORAGE - On Thursday KTVA introduced you to the Davis family and their son Gideon – a baby who is fighting bladder cancer.

Monday night the community, with the help of Hot Stixx restaurant, came together to make sure the family can support all of the baby’s medical needs.

“It's really cool to see people that really care about us and some people we know and some people we don't,” said Alex Davis, Gideon's father.

“I don't most of the people in this room and that's overwhelming,” said Kathy Davis. “It just goes to show that when there's a need, people will show up. It's moments like this that you cherish because when you're gone and away from home and you're feeling totally alone, you need to bring them back and remember that you're not alone."
