Fire Damages Military Building; Cause Unknown

A fire broke out on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Thursday night badly damaging building 9386.

A fire broke out on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Thursday night badly damaging building 9386. The fire was first reported at 6:30 p.m. and, according to JBER officials, was under control in about three hours.

Everyone inside the building has been accounted for and no injuries have been reported. JBER officials are working to find lodging for the displaced occupants.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
