ANCHORAGE – The final F-22 fighter jet ever made for the U.S Air Force is heading for Alaska.
Air Force officials said the jet, delayed by a broken refueling plane, is expected to arrive at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson over the weekend. The U.S. now has 187 of the aircraft. Besides continuing cost overruns, the plane's run with the military branch has been plagued with oxygen system problems.
