Federal prosecutors are filing a request in court this week seeking to revoke BP’s probation. They are alleging that Alaska’s largest oil field operator has not addressed repeated management and environmental safety problems in addition to environmental violations.

The probation commenced after a criminal misdemeanor conviction in 2007 after a substantial oil spill in August 2006. Another spill occurred near BP’s Lisburne Production Center in 2009—which prosecutors say was a violation of their probation.

Maybe they will make BP do the repairs they are putting band aids on now just to avoid more fines. The folks doing the work report problems and get fired for blowing the whistle, time for BP to go. BP spouts about safety, up until it will cost. What's one more life right?
