A three car crash on Abbott Road has left one person dead and another in the hospital.

At about 5:30 Thursday evening, an AMC Eagle was struck by an oncoming pickup truck as it attempted to turn in the Carrs parking lot on Abbott. The passenger of the car died at the scene and the driver was rushed to a local hospital. The pickup truck then struck a Honda pulling out of the Carrs parking lot. No one else was injured. Police say every indication is that the Eagle turned across active lanes of traffic and then it was struck, but the investigation is still ongoing.
