ALASKA - A man was in a Fairbanks hospital Friday evening after police say he was shot in the face by another man who was motivated by jealousy.

Fairbanks police say a 32-year-old male was at the Sourdough Gas Station with a woman in a vehicle when the woman's husband, 23-year-old Jason Thorton, approached the two of them and shot the man in the face with a .45 caliber hand gun.

The victim was shot sideways through his nose.

He is listed in stable condition and is expected to recover. Thorton is being charged with third-degree assault.

Jason Thorthon is a person who is very close to me. He's a good man. Just loses his temper every now and then.

Well if you are bold enough to mess around with someones wife in the open, you should be ready for the husband to react that way. Now everyone wants to blame man who shot the guy, I say if you are messin around with someones wife be ready for any thing that happens.
