FAIRBANKS — A 30-year-old Fairbanks man, Shane M. Ante, was arrested by Alaska State Troopers early Friday morning, on charges of second- degree assault and third- degree criminal mischief, for allegedly biting two people at a home on Lakeview Drive.

One of several calls regarding the disturbance reported a 39-year-old male had approximately a third of his ear bitten off, and a

21-year-old female, who was at the home when the altercation erupted, was bitten on the arm.

It also was reported the suspected biter, in a fit of rage, smashed all of the windows on a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban that was parked in the driveway of the home.

Upon arrival, troopers located Ante hiding next to a workshop behind the house.

Both bite victims were transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment.
