ALASKA - Because of safety concerns due to the deteriorating condition of the Eklutna River Bridge, the city is closing it to all traffic as of May 15. After some safety modifications, the bridge will open for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, probably around early June.

The city says when it gets funding it will begin design and construction of a replacement bridge.

Are you refering to the bridge on the Glenn Highway? I highly doubt it, but some details would be nice.

They mean the old steel truss bridge to the East of the Highway, which I believe is a section of Old Glenn Highway.
