I saw on the news last night about the proposed drilling in ANWR, and the thought of drilling doesn’t set well with me. Don’t get me wrong I spent 28 years of my life fighting for the freedoms of this great nation and want nothing more than to secure our country’s independence of foreign oil. But it bothers me when I see a representative supporting the drilling pulling at the heart strings of Americans in saying we have men and women dying for this need. I have a suggestion. Why don’t our representatives tell us how much of this oil will be used for the US, and just how much of this oil will be shipped overseas, and also tell the American public how many US born employees will be hired? I think you’ll find only a small portion of employees will be US citizens. As for the senator’s comment about our men and women dying for oil, why don’t you keep that to yourself, these great heroes and their families have suffered enough.
