Convicted Felon Charged For Bomb Threats to Probations OfficeAttempts to dodge urine drug testANCHORAGE - Bryant K. Brown, 44, had other plans the day he was scheduled to appear for a urine analysis test at the Alaska Department of Corrections Adult Probation Office. The Downtown building was evacuated following a phoned-in bomb threat the afternoon of November 22, and again the next day when Brown had been rescheduled to take the routine drug test. Today, an Anchorage jury convicted Brown on two counts of Terroristic Threatening. He had been on probation for a previous drug charge, and corrections officials said he had a history of missing appointments with his probation officer. Anchorage police said they were able to connect the dots and trace the threats back to Brown "pretty quickly." Brown's sentencing is scheduled for August 6. |
