Feeding hungry children: It’s a personal mission for one celebrity, who says he’s in Anchorage to raise awareness of the issue.

Tommy Davidson, of “In Living Color,” is in town to help raise money for the local nonprofit organization Children’s Meal Mission, which helps feed Alaska’s hungry children for free.

Davidson is hosting a comedy show fundraiser for the organization. Children’s Meal Mission has served more than 40,000 meals to kids in Anchorage.

The comedy show fundraiser is Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Dena’ina Center. Tickets are $30 each, with all proceeds benefiting the nonprofit.

Wish I'd known - I would have gone. Tax deduction and a good laugh. Two things I need.
