ANCHORAGE - People who are in the early stages of dementia may fear a time when the words they want to use won't come out, or that people they meet won't know them as the person they once were.

That's why members of an early memory loss group at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center authored a poem called "I Am."

Photojournalist John Thain brings us their words in this edition of Caring for Your Parents.

When will people realize that NOT EVERYONE has a smart phone (nor do they want one) (and have no interest WHATSOEVER in Facebook but that's another pet peeve). I clicked on this link thinking to see the poem and of course it wasn't here.
