ANCHORAGE - Stealing someone's motorcycle: shameful, right?
But when that someone is a school nurse who's fighting triple-negative breast cancer, that thief is sure to reap bad karma for years to come.
Bonnie Jones says she was driving her bike north on the Seward Highway near DeArmoun when she ran of gas. When she came back to fill it up, her Harley-Davidson was gone. She filed a police report and has insurance to cover the costs, but she says she just wants her bike back.
“It’s been stolen and I feel bad about it; I can get another Harley but I love my Harley, so I’m hoping there is anybody that saw this happen,” said Bonnie Jones. “I mean somebody must have driven by and done a quick job because I wasn't gone that long.”
Bonnie's bike is a 1999 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster. It's cherry red with black and red handles. The license plate number is 9620 RB. Bonnie says it has a small dent in the front of the can. If you have any information or have seen this bike, you're asked to call Anchorage Police at 786-8900.
