ANCHORAGE - Thousands of rolls of toilet paper were delivered to Bean's Café today.

It was an Iditarod themed charity event created last year by Wayland Baptist University students.

The "Idita-roll" was originally supposed to represent a roll of toilet paper for each mile of the Iditarod race, but the donations exceeded their expectations. This year, Wayland Baptist was able to collect over 4,000 rolls of toilet paper for Bean's.

Bean's Café spokesperson Jim Crockett says last year, on average they went through 60 or 70 rolls a day. But this year they are up to 120 rolls per day, so the donation is greatly appreciated.

If you would like to donate to Bean's Cafe, they accept donations of clothing, food, and toiletry items.

Bean’s is located at 1101 East Third Avenue near Downtown Anchorage.
