I Still don't feel it was necessary to shoot him. The officer should have been trained to take a man down w/o the use of a firearm, HE HAD A 1" DIA WOOD STICK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!

He was coming after a cop with a stick and some people are still calling it uncalled for. Hmm the person made the comment about officers should be trained to take a man down w/o the use of a firearm.. you are an idiot. This ain't like the movies or tv.. if a violent man with a 1" Dia Wood Stick is coming at you and you had a gun.. wouldn't you shoot? You say cops are trained to take a man down w/o the use a firearm but who knows if you were in that situation, a stick was the only thing he had.

Well...this definitely nailed the coffin to this case. High on drug, refused to obey a police officer and threatening with a broomstick. Broomstick is a very effective weapon if used properly. Not so much as a swing weapon but as a jabbing weapon, it can be very lethal.
