Asthma Rates Up Despite Smoke-Free Laws

One in 12 Americans has been diagnosed with the potentially deadly respiratory disorder.

To reduce the toll asthma takes on the nation, the CDC is pushing smoke-free laws and encouraging doctors to do better at prescribing inhaled corticosteroid drugs. It's also encouraging patients to do better at avoiding asthma triggers.

"We have to do a better job educating people about managing their symptoms and how to correctly use medicines to control asthma so they can live longer more productive lives while saving health care costs," CDC Director Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, said in the statement.

Maybe then we can breathe easily.

Hmmmm, so the health fascists are wrong? Wow, so what are they going to do when they are proven wrong, find a new "problem" to attack and hate? There is an old jewish proverb that i believe fits this story... it goes "god save us from the zealots".

Interesting...does it have nothing to do with the ultimate wet summer last year and the insane increase of mold in the air that could still linger into this year's break up? I know the mold at our home has been really bad...
