These subzero temperatures are shattering records and taking their toll on everything from car batteries to water pipes.

One of the oldest restaurants in Anchorage has shut down for the first time in decades over frozen pipes. They’re just one of dozens of local businesses and private homes feeling the effects of the below-zero blues. CBS 11’s Kirsten Swann has the story.
