An Anchorage couple is headed to the Super Bowl next week.

Randy Eledge’s Bank of America Visa card transaction, at the Los Arcos restaurant on east Dowling, was picked out of 17 million other cardholders.

Eledge, who was visiting family in Texas at the time, called his favorite waiter Jesse Gallo before anyone else. “He was asking me if I know anything about a raffle or lottery for Super Bowl tickets,” said Gallo. "I told him I didn't know anything. I told him to research it, 'cause it could be a scam.”

He did, and it wasn’t.

His winnings include airfare, hotel (all expenses paid), dinner with a NFL player and the opportunity participate in the coin toss.

The Eledges leave February 1 for the Super Bowl, which will take place just four days later.

Gee, he wins a ticket and gets a headline. My business here in Willow was the featured setting in the 2012 Audi commercials and I couldn't get any of them interested in my story. Anyway, congrats are in order.

What luck! I got bit by the super bowl bug and I don't even like football! After sitting down with my husband for 5 minutes last Sunday I asked a few questions about the game and got hooked once I understood the game. Congrats, really lucky people to see all the action in person, woo-hoo!
