Last weekend, Congress failed to pass legislation that would keep the Federal Aviation Administration running at full speed.

That means the FAA can't collect federal ticket taxes until new legislation is passed, and it means thousands of employees are on furlough.

But does the partial shutdown mean savings for travelers?

We have been on the phone and all over the travel websites after we have read this article. But it is still almost fifty to sixty dollars more than you are claiming it to be, after Alaska Airlines throughs in there FEES and Taxes. I Wanna know where you are getting these prices. Thanks
