Sources Say Keyes is Suspect in Vermont MurdersCBS affiliate in Burlington names Koenig killer in separate murdersANCHORAGE - Israel Keyes is being linked to the murder of a couple in Vermont. Keyes is in currently in custody in Anchorage awaiting trial for the murder of Samantha Koenig, a local barista who was abducted from her midtown coffee stand and killed. Now, a reporter with WCAX -TV in Burlington Vermont, says it has two sources confirming Keyes is a suspect in the murder of an Essex couple, Bill and Lorraine Currier. "In doing our investigation and speaking with various sources we have learned that while federal authorities were questioning Keyes about that Alaska murder, he told investigators where they could find the bodies of a missing Vermont couple,” said reporter Jennifer Reading. At a news conference in Burlington earlier today, state and federal prosecutors said they believe a Vermont couple was murdered and they have a suspect who is in custody in another state. "The investigation has developed significant information the William and Lorraine Currier were abducted from their home and murdered shortly thereafter in June 2011,” said Tristram Coffin, the U.S. Attorney for Vermont. However, prosecutors would not name the suspect. “The person believed to have committed the murders is in custody in another state and will remain in custody. No charges have yet been brought against this person for the Currier’s murders, but charges are anticipated,” said Coffin. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Alaska is not commenting on the Currier case or whether charges will be brought against Keyes in relation to the case. Bill and Lorraine Currier were reported missing from their home in Essex on June 9, 2011. "Their murders were a random act of violence that occurred in out community. There is nothing the Curries did in their personal lives that contributed to their deaths. To our knowledge there is no prior connection between the Curriers and the individual in custody,” said T.J. Donovan, Chittenden County Prosecutor. WCAX’s Reading says Keyes checked into a hotel the day before the Currier’s disappeared and checked out the day after they went missing.

Just another inmate. Half these inmates in AJ(Anchorage Jail) are responsible for most of the unsolved crime here.

Wonder how many other people he, and possibly a killing partner, have killed across the country. Look at his face. The face of a sociopath. Does he look like a person with no feelings, who murders for money or fun, and without regret? No, but he is. Good lesson to us all.

I agree Robin... a sociopath is the most dangerous of all, they are the ones that blend into the community, into homes and murder, rape and molest.... Our criminal justice system should deal most harshly with this kind of criminal, no deals and life in prison or death.
