ANCHORAGE - On Friday, Municipal Clerk Barbara Jones and Assembly Chair Ernie Hall announced 141 potentially uncounted ballots from the April 3 municipal election had been found on Wednesday, July 11.

The ballots were from three precincts. According to a press release, the Election Commission will be asked to reconvene to review the ballots and hold a canvass; both meetings will be open to the public, with dates, times and locations to be announced soon. The assembly will then be asked to re-certify the April election after the review and canvass.

Oddly enough, these "discovered" ballots are all for the Dem and smell like fresh ink!

Also, we should have another election. If those who were certified were really elected they will be again in another election also. There are WAY to many questions on the results of this election.

I only started voting a few years ago...I'm not so sure it really does any good...why should we keep voting if our votes are only counted when someone wants them to be...and those voted in get to decide if the votes count...I thought the voters were supposed to have a say. shouldn't we get to decide on a no confidence vote?

I do not understand how this fiascal could happen. I appreciate the fact that those responsible have lost their jobs..but how could Sullivan be sworn in when we are so unsure of the absolute results. Who decided this? I demand a recall and a new election!! MY VOTE SHOULD COUNT..and so should everyones.
