ANCHORAGE - Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Anchorage Fire Department received a 911 call reporting smoke coming from the Sushi Garden Restaurant on Huffman Road. Thirteen units were sent to the scene, where they saw smoke venting from the sides of the building. Crews entered the building, encountering heavy smoke.

They located the source of the fire in the kitchen and extinguished it. The fire was contained in the kitchen but the building suffered serious smoke damage. The building was unoccupied at the time of the incident and investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, which caused approximately $235,000 in damage.
