In the indictment (click here to read) and bail memo (click here to read) new details emerged. Thomas is accused of tampering with evidence including a loveseat, a couch, carpet, clothing, rags and a vehicle after robbing Airman Clinton Reeves. Police also found a blood-stained claw hammer in Thomas's pickup. Video surveillance also captured Thomas driving up Skyline Drive, near where Reeves' body was found, and on Thomas's cell phone it was found he'd searched various websites on how to dispose of human remains. ANCHORAGE - An airman from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson was indicted by a grand jury Friday for the murder of 24-year-old Clinton Reeves in May. James Devinn Thomas, 24, faces 11 counts of murder, evidence tampering and robbery charges after Reeves' body was found in an Eagle River ravine more than a month ago. Thomas is facing four murder charges, one robbery charge and six tamerping with evidence charges. According to charging documents, on April 19, Thomas intentionally killed his friend and fellow airman Reeves, and then attempted to destroy the evidence, by getting rid of bloody clothes and rags. APD is still looking for a black, fake leather love seat that Thomas said he dumped. At the time Reeves disappeared police were told he had been carrying a large wad of cash for the potential purchase of a new vehicle. Thomas is being held on $100,000 bail and a third party custodian will be required for release. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Anchorage Superior Court Tuesday. This is a developing story. |

James Devinn Thomas, 24, faces eleven counts, including murder, evidence tampering and robbery charges after Reeves' body was found in an Eagle River ravine more than a month ago. I don't think he murdered 11 people

I was wondering the same thing, 11 counts? i think they mean 11 criminal counts not 11 count of murder, murder is just one of the 11

So is he facing 4 murder charges for one murder? This is very confusing.

Says in the charging documents the different charges are different theories of how he actually murdered him.

He is charged with one count of Murder in the first degree and three counts of murder in the second degree, all for the murder of Clinton Reeves. The reason behind the 4 counts of murder is that any one of the 4 he could be found guilty of, each count has a different definition in the Alaska Statutes as to what it pertains to.

Must be Microsoft word fail because of the sentence structure. Maybe its better say Whats his name is facing 11 counts of criminal charges... including murder, beating up someone, being a dumb white man, googling how to hide the bodies, etc.
