Arthritis Foundation Exercise and Aquatics Programs
Studies show that moderate physical activity can help people with arthritis feel less pain, move more easily and feel more energetic and positive. The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a land-based physical activity program specifically designed for people with arthritis. This program uses gentle activities that can be done while sitting, standing or on the floor. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program allows participants to exercise in warm water without putting excess strain on joints and muscles. Both programs can help Alaskans with arthritis manage their health, stay active and enjoy life.
