Missing woman found safe

39-year-old Rita Crane was found safe, police say

Update: Rita Crane was found safe, according to a statement from police spokeswoman Dani Myren Thursday.

ANCHORAGE – Police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman reported missing Feb. 20.

Rita Crane, 39, was last seen Feb. 15 and reported missing Feb. 20, according to a statement from police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro.

She is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and 150 pounds, Castro said. Crane is Alaska Native, has brown eyes and black hair.

She has been seen at the Brother Francis Shelter and downtown, Castro said. Friends say they are concerned for her well-being. Crane may also have a medical condition that would need attention.

Police are asking anyone with information to call dispatch at 786-8900 and press “0.”
