A Delta Airlines representative confirmed that the company’s computers were malfunctioning Saturday afternoon. On the company’s website, an alert was issued saying all departing flights would be delayed as a result of the systemwide failure.
“Departing flights delayed. We are working quickly to resolve a systemwide outage affecting all departing flights,” the website stated.
Delta teams are working to fix a systems outage that has resulted in departure delays. Flights in the air remain unaffected.

In numerous responses to complaints from travelers via Twitter, the official Delta account stated, “We’re experiencing technical issues impacting the operation. Our technical teams are working to resolve this as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience our customers may experience.”

Additionally, Delta’s website, Delta.com, was having issues Saturday afternoon. Links to flight information and reservations were not working, and some other links led to error messages.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s website included an alert that noted only U.S. domestic flights were grounded, and international flights were unaffected.
All travelers are encouraged to check the status of their flight regularly for updates.
