Cook Inlet earthquake shakes Anchorage

ANCHORAGE –

An earthquake centered 33 miles northwest of Anchorage shook the municipality Friday morning.

Preliminary estimates from the Alaska Earthquake Information Center placed the quake at 3.94 magnitude. It began at 6:14 a.m. and was centered 39 miles underground, according to AEIC. It was centered 25 miles northeast of Tyonek and 45 miles west of Chugiak.
