Governor Palin has grown accustomed to being in the national spotlight during her first year in office. This week, it went beyond news outlets when Palin struck a pose for fashion magazine Vogue. Photographers paid a visit to her Wasilla home Wednesday. They were treated to a picturesque backdrop thanks to a fresh layer of snow.

Meanwhile, daughters Bristol, Willow and Piper Palin joined their mother in some photo shoots. Palin typically is pressed into discussions of federal corruption probes and energy issues from national media. Instead she fielded questions of fashion and women in leadership.

Palin said honoring Vogue's request is part of the administration's responsibility to change Alaska's image as a corrupt state. The photos will be part of an edition to be released late January. A magazine spokesman would not elaborate on the story.
