Our governor Sarah Palin is back in the Lower 48 tonight for her second trip out of state in the last 3 weeks.
Palin is hitting the campaign trail again for the Republicans. This time, she is on the stump for Georgia senator Saxby Chambliss, who is facing a run-off election.
Then, It's off the Philadelphia, where Palin will be one of several governors in a bipartisan session with Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
The trip comes just a few weeks before the budget and long-range energy plans are due.
But Palin defends her travel, saying traveling is one of the only ways Alaska's interests will be served under the new national leadership. "I wont apologize for my travel either," says Governor Sarah Palin, "It is going to be good for Alaska. I am going to use good judgment, good discernment. I wouldn't do anything that wasn't good for Alaska."
When asked if she thought she could get more done for the state in the Lower 48 than in Alaska, Palin responded by saying, "Its a Sunday I believe it is that I'm going to Georgia, I usually do work weekends also, but I am going to Georgia because I was invited also though, to go to Philadelphia with all the governors to talk to Obama, so going to Georgia is something that is
When she gets back to the state Governor Palin will be heading to Fairbanks to present the AGIA license to TransCanada. In the next couple of weeks, Palin will be unrolling her long-term energy plan, and about a week after that, the state budget.
