A bear mauling near the Anaktuvuk Pass sends a woman to the hospital with multiple injuries. Officials say the incident happened Thursday morning at the gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve.

The area has since been closed off to visitors. The woman was hiking in the area with several others when the grizzly attack occurred. Her injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
