Chicken soup products sold in Alaska recalled

By KTVA CBS 11 News 2:59 PM February 7, 2014

To date, no illness or reactions have been reported

ANCHORAGE – ConAgra Foods is recalling chicken soup products after they were incorrectly labeled.

Some Healthy Choice Chicken with Rice soup — which comes in microwavable bowls — does not state on the label that it contains known allergens milk and wheat, according to a Friday statement from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

“People who are allergic or have a severe sensitivity to wheat or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these  products,” the statement said.

Affected products have an establishment number of “P-770″ located inside the mark of inspection on the containers and a best-by-date of “JUN092015″ stamped on the bottom of the bowls, ADEC said.

These products were available in Alaska, ADEC said. To date, however, no illness or reactions have been reported.
