Cascada de Flores will bring a taste of Latin American culture and music to Anchorage.
Arwen Lawrence, who sings for the group, said the show will have romance, humor and highlight the diverse roots of Mexican culture and its neighbors. The quartet will play songs in both English and Spanish.
Before the band plays in concert to the public, they will have a workshop for Anchorage children at the Mountain View Library Wednesday, April 19. The group will tell stories from Latin American culture and have craft activities.
On Saturday, April 22, the band will play for the public at the Discovery Theatre in Downtown Anchorage. Tickets vary in price and are available from CenterTix.net. The Alaska Junior Theater is putting on both events.
