No details were immediately available on the condition of the driver, or the number of people involved.

ANCHORAGE – Police said they’re unsure what caused a car to drive into a gas pump at a Fairview gas station early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters, paramedics and police responded to the Shell station at the corner of 15th Avenue and Ingra Street around 3:30 a.m. Only one vehicle was involved: The car came to rest against a concrete pillar and the gas pump was knocked across the parking lot. There were no details immediately available on the condition of the driver, or the number of people involved in the crash.

State transportation officials warn of icy patches and melting snow on Anchorage roads Wednesday.
