Alaska’s changing climate may be one of the most challenging frontiers for the state. Many communities across Alaska are coping with challenges of a warmer climate.
In this web extra, Rhonda McBride talks with two people who have seen some of the challenges firsthand in various communities. Mike Black is with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and Robin Bronen is with the Alaska Institute for Justice. Bronen is on the front lines of exploring how climate change is an international human rights issue.
The full program, Uncertain Future, will air Sunday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 and 10:30 p.m. During that program, Emily Carlson and photojournalist Carolyn Hall will explore how the community of Kivalina is dealing with a rapidly changing climate.
