BBB offers tips during National Consumer Protection Week

The event is in its sixteenth year

ANCHORAGE – The Better Business Bureau is one of more than a dozen organizations offering safety tips to shoppers during National Consumer Protection Week.

Michelle Tabler, the bureau’s Alaska regional manager, said there are several simple ways consumers can keep their money secure. Never wire money, she said. Don’t participate in “foreign lotteries” and never respond to texts or emails requesting financial information.
