    CIC announces conference championships seeding

    ANCHORAGE – The Cook Inlet Conference announced the seeding of their conference championships and Alaska School Activities Association Regional IV games for high school basketball. The tournaments begin Monday, March 3 at West High School for both the girls and boys teams. The championship games are slated for Saturday, March 8.

    Sports fans mourn the loss of Dick Lobdell

    ANCHORAGE – Sports fans and community members are mourning the passing of Dick Lobdell, an area play-by-play announcer most known for his work with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. In 1994 he was inducted into the Alaska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. Friends said he died after battling a long illness.
