FAIRBANKS – Competitors in the 2014 Arctic Winter Games Tuesday had to use their heads.
The head pull is a traditional game involving two athletes who lie on the floor facing each other with a band wrapped around their heads. Each athlete uses their head and neck strength to try and pull the band off their opponent’s head, and organizers said the game represents the strength a hunter needs to take down a seal or walrus.
