Another skier with Alaska ties is Sochi-bound

Erik Bjornsen was nominated to compete on the cross-country ski team.

ANCHORAGE - Another skier with Alaska ties is on the U.S. cross-country ski team heading to the Olympics.

Erik Bjornsen, 22, joins his sister Sadie, Holly Brooks, Kikkan Randall and 10 others on the team.

He is from Washington State, but is a member of the Alaska Pacific University Ski Club and trains with that dynamic team that includes his sister, Brooks and Randall.
