Laura has been a part of the CBS 11 team since 2001. After working at a number of TV stations in the Lower 48, she lived out a lifelong dream to come to Alaska and now she proudly calls the 49th state home. Laura grew up in an Air Force family traveling to many places during her childhood, until her parents retired in San Antonio, Texas.
Colorado State University is where Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
After graduating with honors from the Broadcast News department, Laura went on to earn many prestigious accolades for her Anchoring and Reporting, including nods from the Associated Press; Regional News Emmy Awards; media awards from Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Alabama and most important to her: Alaska's Goldie Awards and other honors that she has received, while working at CBS 11.
TV News is a big part of Laura's life, but enjoying Alaska's great outdoors with her husband Clay and son Andrew is her true passion.
