A night after being shut out on 47 shots the Aces made six of them count, getting goals from five different scorers as they evened up their Western Conference semifinal series against the Idaho Steelheads with a 6-4 win Friday night.
Anchorage native Evan Trupp scored twice in the second period to give the Aces a 3-1 lead. Zach McKelvie, Drew MacKenzie, Alex Belzile and Tommy Mele also netted tallies for the Aces, who now head to Boise for Game 3 on Monday. Olivier Roy yielded four goals but made a number of huge stops to help the Aces draw even in the series.
Right wing Peter Sivak did not play due to an upper body injury. His status is not known yet for Game 3. Face-off is at 5:10 AKST.
KTVA Channel 11 Sports will be in Boise for coverage with the Aces all week long.
